    We had a really good time, and I really want to give a shout out to the servers here for going above and beyond with service. There were two gentlemen and one lady. They were so incredibly friendly and welcoming, they explained how everything works, how to cook, what it all is, what dishes are popular, etc. They were very attentive and chatted with us at the end. Honestly this was the best service in a while! Food wise everything was delicious and satisfying. Hot food was piping hot! The spicy dipping sauce was sooo good. The meat was on the leaner side. One thing I really appreciated was the unique use of citrus and zest in the flavors. It cuts through the fat very nicely. The menu is huge too, they have everything to suit your needs. I highly recommend their yuzu ale, it's a very light and refreshing taste. They have a touch screen menu to facilitate ease of self service. Atmosphere - really nice, dim eye comfort light, elegant and clean. There is some calming and fun music playing in the background. Overall I would love to come back and I highly recommend for a fun time.

    Great value for money with an affordable lunch set and decent food quality. The beef and duck were okay, but the shrimp stood out as really tasty. The staff were also incredibly friendly!

    Situated on West Broadway in central Vancouver, Homura delivers an exceptional Japanese Yakiniku Barbecue experience while also being excellent value-for-money. The restaurant is known for offering plenty of deals, spanning from birthday menu specials to set course specials for groups. Ordering is easy through a tablet computer linked to each table, and each person is even provided a cute branded apron to keep the sauces and oils off while eating. For our dinner, my wife and I enjoyed the two-person (Kiwami) set menu. There was a good balance of barbecue meats, vegetables and side dishes for a very filling meal. The portion was just right for us and went down nicely with an Iced Tea and their very own Homura Yuzu Ale. The overall presentation of their dishes, the slick branding on their cups, containers (and apron!), the clean facilities and excellent service means this place will surely impress. It did for us and we highly recommend anyone who might be planning their next group meal or special occasion.

    We celebrated my birthday here and they were doing promotion that the birthday star will have one lunch set free on the date of birth. The food was very delicious , good portion and the service was excellent! I like the yuzu drink a lot. They also offered a birthday dessert for free! Even without the promotion, the set is worthy! Suggest to check with them if this promotion is still on when you make the reservation. :)

    We went for dinner on a Friday night. Made a reservation earlier that day, no problem. It definitely filled up while we were there so if you can make a reservation, I'd recommend but it seemed like they could accommodate walk-ins too. We had 3 people and there were a lot of food options and variety for us with the combo meal. Salad, 2 different apps, miso soup, kimchi, and meat and vegetables. Everything was delicious - everything! I tried the yuzu beer and really enjoyed it. Japanese whiskey highball, and NA strawberry crush also reported to be good. I like that we had scallop & shrimp in addition to a variety of meats. Definitely recommend!

    Had a nice lunch at Homura Yakiniku to celebrate a family member's birthday! Their birthday offer is a good way to bring in new customers, and we were happy with our meal. The birthday diner had a complimentary set (they chose a BBQ set with 3 different meats, but there are also non-BBQ set options). We also had a 2-BBQ set with filet and pork shoulder (17), and a Beef Yaki Udon lunch set (14). The sets come with a miso soup, small side salad, and pickled daikon and cucumber. Their prices are very affordable for the variety of food. I found the yaki udon to be delicious with a good amount of beef, garnish, and a flavourful sauce. When the food is delivered, they verbally give you cook times, but all meats seemed to require less time to cook than what was instructed. On the plate, they come labelled, which was helpful for those unfamiliar! Most of the service is done on tablets at the table, including requesting the bill and additional service. Service was friendly. Based on Google reviews, they used to offer a complimentary birthday ice cream for the diner, but it's no longer offered (as stated on the birthday set menu). We don't go to BBQ restaurants often, so not sure if it's the norm, but the women's washroom had mouthwash in plastic disposable containers (sauce-sized) and toothpicks; a nice touch given the food being served. Not the most convenient location given the construction out front, but would recommend! Good place for a meal with family and friends. We didn't leave smelling like grease, although we weren't grilling too much at our table. They have other deals advertised like happy hour and a rewards program for those who visit often!

    Best budget friendly for lunch BBQ in Vancouver! Reasonable price, friendly staff, good quality of food! Recommend beef tongue and lemon salt! All of the lunch BBQ set menu are less than 25. So happy to found this hidden gem.

    I celebrated my birthday at this amazing Japanese BBQ restaurant, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted us warmly and made us feel incredibly welcome. The service throughout the evening was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always with a smile. Our server took the time to explain the menu, recommend popular items, and made sure everything arrived quickly and perfectly cooked. They were always nearby when we needed anything, but never intrusive. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! The meat was fresh and high-quality, perfectly marinated, and grilled to perfection. Every bite was full of flavor, and you could really taste the difference in quality. The side dishes and sauces were also excellent, complementing the BBQ perfectly. Overall, I had an amazing birthday dinner and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience. Whether it’s a special occasion or just a casual night out, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’m already looking forward to going back again!
